Robert "Rick" H. Miller is the founder of Miller & Law, P.C., representing clients in the areas of civil litigation, business law, and employment law, as well as in matters concerning corporate organizations, small business corporations, mechanics’ liens, contractor performance bonds, public works, and federal contracts. ​Mr. Miller has been practicing law for over 35 years.
He has received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV-Preeminent rating for his legal ability, adherence to professional standards of conduct, and ethics, reliability, and diligence. Mr. Miller has influenced Colorado law through the reported case known as In re Regan, which was instrumental in determining the proper construction of the Colorado Mechanic’s Lien Trust Fund Statute in bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Miller earned a Bachelor of Business from the University of Florida and a Master’s of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of North Florida. He then continued on to Memphis State University to obtain his J.D. and serve on staff with the Memphis State University Law Review. He is the former President of the Professionals for Colorado Contractors Council and has been a member of various trade associations, Legal Advisory Committee, Legislative Committee, and Associate/Subcontractor Council since 1990, as well as a member of the Construction Committee of the America Bar Association since 1992.

Curtis R. Henry is a principal of Miller & Law, P.C. and has over 20 years of experience practicing law. Mr. Henry supports the firm’s clients in the areas of civil litigation, business litigation, construction litigation, real estate, and business associations. He has earned Martindale Hubbell’s AV-Preeminent rating for his high ethical standards and legal ability. ​
Mr. Henry is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and of the University of Denver College of Law. He was admitted to practice law by the State Bar of Colorado and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado the same year that he earned his Juris Doctorate. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Henry served as attorney in Thistle, Inc. v. Tenneco, Inc., 872 P 2d 1302 (Colo. Kevin E. Thwing earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he was the only member of his graduating class to receive Statements of Completion in Business Law, Estate Planning and Taxation. Mr. Thwing also received an LL.M. in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center, one of the nation’s highest ranked programs for the advanced study of tax law.

Mr. Thwing is an experienced attorney whose practice includes mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and reorganization, simple and complex estate planning, probate, succession planning for closely-held business entities, and tax planning. He has assisted a wide variety of clients over the years, from publicly-traded companies to local start-ups and individuals in need of legal service.
In his spare time, Mr. Thwing enjoys spending time with his sons and is an avid reader. He also admits, proudly, to being a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Prior to entering law school, he was a high school teacher in Wisconsin and Louisiana.

James F. Noel P. Trowbridge (Trujillo) is an associate at Miller & Law, P.C., with her practice emphasis mainly in construction and business litigation. Ms. Trowbridge is a Colorado native, growing up in Denver. She attended Colorado State University-Global Campus as a Human Services major.
After working in the Denver area for a few years, she attended the University of Denver-Sturm College of Law. Throughout her education and work, Ms. Trowbridge developed a passion for helping small businesses, especially those in the construction industry, a passion that she brings to her practice.

Jennifer D. Duettra, a Colorado lawyer since graduating from Harvard Law School in 2004, is an accomplished litigation and transactional attorney. She has litigated in state and federal courts, including construction and contract disputes, fraud claims of improper interference with existing contract rights and established, protected business advantage claims for “piercing the corporate veil,” business partnership disputes, and indemnity disputes.
Mrs. Duettra had participated in all manner of alternative dispute resolution, exhibiting effective skill in mediation and arbitration proceedings before independent mediators/arbitrators and through the more formal procedures of the American Arbitration Association. She has participated in and supervised a family clinic dedicated to providing pro bono legal assistance in matters concerning parenting, child support, custodial and visitation rights.
As well as trial work, Mrs. Duettra has gained extensive experience drafting and negotiating revisions to the standards from AIA agreements and Consensus Docs and agreements drafted by others. She also has extensive drafting and reviewing real estate documents such as leases, purchase contracts and deeds of trust.
A Colorado native, she graduated as valedictorian from Rampart High School in Colorado Springs in 1996. In 2001, Mrs. Duettra graduated cum laude from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication and Political Science. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2004.
She began her legal career with the Denver office of an international law firm, at first specializing in construction law. As her legal skills and natural talent were quickly recognized, Jennifer Duettra’s practice expanded beyond construction law into general commercial litigation as well; and she has continued to maintain a practice with an emphasis on construction litigation and contract work.

David "Dave" J. Meretta joined Miller & Law, P.C. in January of 2017. Thompson has more than 29 years of experience in business, construction and real estate transactions, and complex commercial litigation. His clients in transactional and litigation cases have ranged from publicly traded corporations to small businesses and individuals.
He has represented clients in a variety of Federal and State Trial and Appellate Courts in Colorado, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in connection with claims involving jurisdictional disputes, real estate disputes, contract disputes, shareholder/partner/member disputes, fraud, deceptive trade practices, negligence, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, tortious interference, mechanic’s lien foreclosures, zoning and planning board of appeals and insurance coverage disputes.
In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Thompson regularly counsels clients on a variety of legal issues in the real estate, insurance, corporate and distributorship/franchise areas. This counseling often involves the preparation of various types of agreements necessary for the business operation, including shareholder, operating, leases purchase/sale, employment, non-disclosure, sale and manufacturing, and distribution and licensing.
Mr. Thompson began his legal career in Colorado during the summer of 1984 as an intern to chief Justice William H. Erickson of the Colorado Supreme Court and upon graduation from law school in 1986, began practicing law in Colorado. A South Jersey native, in 1990 he left Denver and returned to the Philadelphia area (Cherry Hill, NJ), joining the Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP law firm in 1991. Early in his 14 years at Obermayer, He rose to Partner in the firm’s litigation department.
In August 2005, Mr. Thompson returned to Colorado and formed Thompson & Thompson LLP with his brother, Ronald H. Thompson. Following Ron’s untimely passing in 2010, Mr. Thompson merged his practice into what then became Heckenbach, Thompson, Suazo & Dave LLP. In order to provide a wider range of services and better serve his clients, he joined Berenbaum Weinshienk PC as a shareholder in the Spring of 2013. In February 2015, he left the full-time practice of law to accept a position as the CEO, President & General Counsel of his long-time client, Eat at Joe’s, Ltd., a publicly traded company.
In every situation, Mr. Thompson spends the time with his client that is necessary to gain an understanding of the client’s business and objectives and then works with the client to develop an appropriate strategy for success.

David S. Oppenheim is very active in SERTOMA, an international service organization serving on the international board as the Mountain West Regional Director. He was on the Board of Directors for the Littleton Fire Protection for 10 years and was instrumental in its merger with the South Metro Fire Protection District.
Since retiring from the U.S. Naval Reserve, he has remained active in the Naval Reserve Association and the Blue & Gold Program with the U.S. Naval Academy, and the SeaPower Program." He retired from the Navy in 2004 after 32 years of service.
Mr. Oppenheim currently acts in an advisory position with the firm assisting in his prior practice areas. He is married to Diane and has two daughters, Jessica Moy (Clif) and Jaime Brown (Rob) and is currently most actively involved with his five grandchildren.

Thomas "Tom" C. Helgeson was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He grew up on an Iowa farm and learned a strong work ethic from the age of 10. He was a member of the United States Army Reserve from 1971 to 1975, attaining the rank of Army Captain. In 1973, he married Janet Reid and they now have two adult children, Amy and Erik. ​
Mr. Helgeson was first licensed to practice law in Iowa in 1973, and Colorado in 1974. He is currently licensed in both State and Federal Courts. He incorporated NSF Collectors, Inc. and has been operating it as a licensed Colorado collection agency for nearly 20 years, filing over 15,000 collection lawsuits during that time. He has also been qualified and testified in both State and Federal Courts as an expert witness in regard to collection agency procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. ​
In a jury trial before the U.S. District Court for Colorado, Mr. Helgeson successfully represented a collection agency, its collectors, and its attorneys against claims of violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. See Bryan Dikeman and Angela Dikeman v. National Educators DBA Continental Collection Agency and Reed and Hopkins, P.C., et al. 81 Fed 3rd 949 (10 Cir 1996).
Mr. Helgeson presently serves on the Board of Directors of Industrial Chemical Corporation, and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and First Judicial District Bar Association. ​
Tom Helgeson and his wife Janet are members of King of Glory Lutheran Church and Rolling Hills Country Club. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Rolling Hills Country Club.​
